Ecohawks Eco Pledge

I will reduce my garbage
I will put my food in reuse able containers instead of wasteful packaging
I will use recyclable materials as much as I can
I will recycle before putting anything in the garbage
I agree not to litter
I will dispose of garbage properly

I will reduce my air pollution
I will walk, or ride my bike, as often as I can
If I must get a ride, I will car pool
I will ask my parents to use the drop off zone on Linwell Road
I will make sure my parents never sit in the idle free zone at the front of the school

I will reduce my paper consumption
I will reduce or eliminate the use of coloured paper and I will use white instead
I will use both sides of the paper as much as possible
I will use the re use bin in my classroom
When I have finished using both sides of the paper I will recycled it
I will not put paper into the garbage EVER

I will reduce my energy consumption
When nobody is in a room I will turn the lights off
I will turn off my computer monitor when I am not using it
I will not leave itunes or my music running when I am not in the room
I will encourage my family to use compact florescent light bulbs at home to save energy
I will do these things because I care about the earth.
